Warped Tour 2025 – 6.14.2025
Through the Lens of Pure Mayhem

There’s a certain kind of madness that only Warped Tour delivers — and in 2025, that chaos came home to Washington, DC with a vengeance.

This past weekend, Vans Warped Tour made its explosive return to Washington, DC — and it was an absolute storm of sound, sweat, and unforgettable moments. I’ve shot countless shows, but nothing hits quite like Warped. This wasn’t just a concert — it was a movement. A full-blown resurrection of everything we’ve missed in live music. As a photographer, this was a visual playground on fire.

THE STAGE SHOWS – LOUDER THAN HELL

From the jump, the energy was off the charts. Escape the Fate came out swinging with a set that blended nostalgia and raw power — a reminder of why they’ve remained scene staples for so long. FEVER 333 delivered a performance that felt more like a revolution than a concert — Jason Aalon Butler’s stage presence is unreal, and the band’s political charge echoed long after their set ended.

MGK lit up the stage with a genre-bending set that had the whole crowd locked in — love him or hate him, the man knows how to control a stage. All Time Low, hometown heroes, had the entire crowd screaming every lyric, hands in the air, and hearts on fire. That set was pure pop-punk joy and the ultimate DC love letter.

Mod Sun brought a vibrant, chaotic energy that felt like a punk rock daydream soaked in neon. His set blurred the line between wild and whimsical, and the fans couldn’t get enough. Meanwhile, Slaughter to Prevail delivered one of the heaviest, most jaw-dropping sets of the weekend — pure sonic violence in the best way possible. The pit during their set? Utter madness.

Sublime brought the sunshine and soul to Warped Tour — and it hit deep. Eric Wilson holding it down on bass like the legend he is, and Jakob Nowell stepping into his father’s footsteps with raw passion and fearless energy.
His voice, his fire, his presence… it’s like the legacy never skipped a beat.
From ska grooves to punk roots, the vibe was pure nostalgia and new energy combined.

And let’s talk about From Ashes to New — these guys tore it up. High-energy, flawless vocals, and a ton of crowd interaction made their set one of the most dynamic of the entire tour stop. They’re carving out their place in the modern metal scene with style and substance.

Add in Nitro Circus going ballistic, the fan energy radiating from every corner, and vendors that gave the festival life between sets — DC’s stop on Warped was one for the books.

The crowd? Wild. Relentless. Euphoric.

NITRO CIRCUS – WHERE GRAVITY GOT FLIPPED OFF

Nitro Circus straight-up defied physics this year. Midday, the ramp roared to life and suddenly we had dudes flying through the sky on dirt bikes, flipping scooters, and launching BMX tricks that had the entire festival turning their heads mid-set. You could hear the gasps across the lot. Framing a shot of a backflip with the stage in the background? Pure gold. Those moments? Untouchable.

THE VANS HALF PIPE – A LIVING TRIBUTE TO THE ROOTS

The Vans skate ramp was buzzing all day. OGs and young bloods alike were carving lines, launching out of the coping with more style than most people have in their entire wardrobe. The vibe was gritty and authentic — no forced energy, just raw skill and punk attitude.

Skaters ripped through runs while fans leaned on rails, cheering between sets, and the whole thing felt like a time capsule from the early 2000s — in the best possible way.

VENDORS – WHERE STREET STYLE MET SUBCULTURE

Between the chaos of sets and the madness of the pit, the vendor village brought art, culture, and merch to life. From local artists slinging limited-run prints and enamel pins, to exclusive tour collabs and throwback Warped gear, it was a feast for the senses. There were food trucks dishing out vegan street eats and old-school corn dogs. THC seltzers in one corner, tattoo flash booths in the other. Every tent was its own world, and I made sure to capture it all — lens wide, shutter fast, heart full.

THE VERDICT: A LIVING, BREATHING RIOT OF SOUND AND SOUL

Warped Tour DC
wasn’t just a comeback — it was a statement. A roar. A beautifully unhinged celebration of music, rebellion, skate culture, and community. Through my lens, I saw more than just bands — I saw a scene alive and thriving. Warped Tour DC didn’t just meet expectations — it shattered them. Here’s hoping this isn’t just a comeback, but the beginning of a whole new chapter.
