The ghastly Trinity of Terror tour featuring Fame on Fire, Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, and Motionless in White rounded out very successful 1st leg in Norfolk, VA on April 27, 2022, and left total dismay and devastation in its wake. Flocks of fans lined up all around Chartway Arena before the 5:30pm door time as they eagerly awaited this colossal of a show.
At 6:30 pm sharp, the lights went down on stage and the intensity rumbled the room in darkness and anticipation. Its go time.
The opening act of the night was the incredibly talented Fame On Fire.
Full of energy and excitement, these guys bounced around and had the energy rumbling the arena floors.The whole night was overcome with joy and excitement as these guys felt on top of the world being able to play such a large venue. One captivating moment was when they performed a cover of Linkin Parks “Numb”.
Fans lit the arena with cell phone lights as noise levels hit an all-time high, deafening at some points. by the end of their 30-minute set fans were pumped, anxiously awaiting the 3 headlining acts.
Keys of a piano strike and an opening interlude begins, “Opening Night” draws the fans attention. Instantly, the energy was through the roof. Ice Nine Kills exploded onto the stage and wasted no time ripping the stage apart with their first song of the set, “Welcome to Horrorwood.” The song which also shares its name with the most recent album, which is a sequel to The Silver Scream, which is an album made up of songs that are based on horror flicks and horror pop culture from over the years. One thing the band ALWAYS delivers is a theatrical performance that grabs the attention of fans, and the finale of this Trinity of Terror was no exception. ‘Special’ guests made appearances throughout the night with their presence dressed as characters out of many notable horror movies. Stage presence is everything to Ice Nine Kills. Front man Spencer Charnas portrays a butcher for the song “Wurst Vacation” as well as various other psycho paths inspired by the characters in the songs they played, including Pennywise for “IT is the End,” Ash Williams for “Ex-Mortis,” and Freddy Krueger for “American Nightmare.” The members varying costumes and masks depending on the song they’re playing, such as suits and raincoats for “Hip to be Scared,” a track inspired by American Psycho. Ice Nine Kills left fans hungry and eager for the next performance.
As the lights dim, a roar of excitement takes over Chartway arena. Black Veil Brides took fans in Norfolk by surprise loud metal and clad in black leather. They shook the audience with their performance. Black Veil Brides played through their set with no hesitation or hick-ups , including fan favorites songs such as “Faithless”, “Crimson Skies”, and “Scarlet Cross” with contagious enthusiasm. With the sea of fans completely in their hands, it’s easy to see why Black Veil Brides took part in this tour. With a fair-well picture taken, BVB readied the fans for the main act of the night. Deafening screams and chatter filled Chartway arena once again.
Closing out the finale date on this tour, Motionless in White took the stage in Norfolk as the fans went into a crazy in a frenzy of excitement. Beginning the MIW set the song “Thoughts and Prayers,” railed fans with high energy and charisma. The recently released a single “Cyberhex,” blared as the crowd sang along to every word. Chris Motionless and the guys also included a cover of “Somebody Told Me,” which was originally written and performed The Killers. ‘Eternally Yours‘ which is one of MIW most known songs closed out the last date of the Trinity of Terror tour, which was perfect for the circumstances. Fans were left in tears of happiness with many exclaiming how happy they were to be apart of that last tour date performance. The Trinity of Terror tour has came to a successful conclusion and we were thrilled to be apart!
