Slipknot kicked off their second leg of the Knotfest Roadshow tour this past Wednesday in State College, PA to a almost sold out crowd at the Bryce Jordan Center. Fans faced the elements and lined up early to catch a performance of a lifetime by Ho99o9, Cypress Hill, and the almighty SLIPKNOT! A packed floor, seats filled and the lights dim as the arena ERUPTS in cheer.

First to take the stage, Ho99o9. (Pronounced Horror)
Eaddy and theOGM (Ho99o9) hit the stage HARD and jump right into their blend of genre bending performance. The set opens with the eerie screech of ‘Firefly Family’. This gives way to the breakneck hardcore punk sound that has made their live shows so infamous. While a lot of the initiated respond appreciatively, there’s still a section of the audience that seem absolutely baffled by the spectacle. Energy filled and still growing, these two left it all on stage.

Ho99o9 Setlist

The World, The Flesh, The Devil
Protect my Bitch pt 2
…Speak of the Devil
Lower than Scum
Street Power

Next Up… Cypress Hill.

DJ LORD took the stage for his impressive spinning and mixing showcase. High energy and hype to set the mood right. Soon after B-real and Eric Bobo jumped on stage to a screaming ovation. Fans can expect to see many nostalgic hits such as ‘Rock Superstar‘, ‘How I Could Just Kill a Man‘,  ‘Insane in the Brain‘ and ‘Jump Around‘ to name a few.

In between songs B-Real made an announcement letting everyone know Sendog would not be apart of the show as he had a medical emergency. Terrible news! Our thoughts and prayers go out and well wishes for a speedy recovery! B-Real dedicated his next song to Sendog and invited the audience to partake as well. ‘Hits from the Bong‘ took fans to another level rounding out a very memorable performance.

The Slipknot privacy curtain is raised and fans FLOODED into the PIT to grab their spot. Headliners Slipknot left nothing on the table. They were absolutely fantastic. They embody everything that a rock band should be. They create excitement, chaos and a huge rush of adrenaline watching them play. They played a very long set, around 2 hours, 17 songs that included the opener. “Disasterpiece”, “Dead Memories”, “Psychosocial”, “Snuff”, “Duality”, and “Spit It Out” to name just a few. The LED board + light show was stunning, shocking fans in awe along with the pyro and all the other chaos you expect to see at a Slipknot show. The one thing they have over many other touring bands is the loyalty and love of the fans who go absolutely crazy whenever they play live. I HIGHLY recommend catching one of the 19 remaining dates on this tour! Find the link below for tickets!
