Underoath has released a new song called “Numb,” a track from the band’s upcoming album, Voyeurist.
You can download “Numb,” which spotlights the vocals of drummer/singer Aaron Gillespie, now via digital outlets.
“‘Numb’ feels like a classic They’re Only Chasing Safety song done with adult minds and ideas,” says guitarist Tim McTague, referring to Underoath’s 2004 album.
“It’s the only chorus on [Voyeurist] that is just Aaron singing, which was a massive part of our DNA as a band in the beginning,” he adds. “It’s rad to hear it come full circle.”
Voyeurist, the follow-up to 2018’s Erase Me, is due out January 14, 2022. Underoath previewed the album during a streaming concert earlier this month.
